2/8/2010: Dayton Dutch Lions Sign 3 Year Jersey Deal With Under Armour

On Sunday, Dayton's new team- the Dutch Lions- announced a 3 year partnership deal with Under Armour. The popular brand known mostly by soccer players as being a good thing to wear underneath the jersey to keep warm, appears to now be looking to make a move up top, into the jersey business as well.

The DDL F.C. ownership appears to be very happy with the move, here are Mike Mossel's thoughts: "Under Armour is a very ambitious quality brand that is looking to become a leading brand in the US soccer market. It is the same ambition we have as a club. But besides that they have a trendy design that matches our branding as well. The fact that we are partnering for at least three years shows that we both want to invest in this relationship."

For $80 bucks a month; your company, business, or website can advertise right here on Crewture. Crewture is a soccer website mainly for Columbus's soccer franchise, the MLS Columbus Crew. Crewture also includes commentaries weekly on what's happening in the ever evolving sport of soccer in the United States. Crewture since March of 2008 has received nearly 2.4 million hits. Not all of them unique, but about 60% percent. We receive on average 4,000 to 6,000 hits a day (with spikes of up to 10,000 to 15,000 for rivalry weeks or when we have a controversial commentary or news that attracts the interest of all MLS fans). Our demographic is mainly young males from 18-40. We receive most of our hits from Columbus, Ohio, Ohio in general, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Kentucky, and the surrounding areas. We also receive hits from across the nation from soccer fans interested in Crew and MLS news. Also, we receive a lot of hits from young males in Chicago and Toronto during rivalry weekends. Further, we receive many hits from Europe and overseas as soccer fanatics interested in the growth of MLS and soccer in America check out a soccer club like the Crew with passionate fans.

The proceeds from advertising(I haven't been open to advertising in the past as much because it's about the soccer first) will go into improving this website, improving the Nordecke, charitible donations in and around Columbus if we get enough, and making of original and creative demonstrations in the Nordecke to show our pride in Columbus(click on the Nordecke Tifo link for more on that). We reserve to use the advertising money as we please.

In the long run I would like this website, along with the Nordecke, to give back to the Columbus area and help make the Columbus Crew a community team.
